have definitely NOT updated in awhile.

been sitting in my room studying for jazz history the past two hours... there's some awesome stuff. never really listened to it much before, but i'm getting the hang of it. it's tough to be able to differentiate the solos. at least i THINK i can tell the difference between a muted trumpet, normal trumpet, trombones, tenor/alto/baritone sax... you'd THINK it's easy.. but with scratchy recordings.. it's tough PLUS my ear's aren't really that sharp.

Anyhow... liking the jazz a lot. Liking hamilton a lot with all the visitors, with all the busyness, with all the LAX schedule this year. a bunch of us have 12-15 hours of class compared to last year's jam-packed schedule with labs and all that. It's definitely been a easy-laid-back feel the past month, which I am thankful for.

Every day is filled with goodness. Every day is filled with some conversation with someone about something that just brightens up my day. And the bonding the happens.. .even on walks to and from school... from short chats, to long catch-up chats... it's been soooo good.

And while I am SORT of kicking myself for not applying to meds this year, I think I've gotten over it, and will just ENJOY the consequences of my lack of initiative. haha... and love my jazz and sociology, and all the extra time I now have to invest into bugging froshies at res, or dropping by upper year houses. :) this is the only time i'll live so close to everyone anyways right? so better make the most of it...

can't WAIT for thanksgiving... sooooo far... but i can't wait to see all pneuma ppl together at one place again. ONE week without them, plus this week gone too!! and i feel so lost. haha... COME VISIT AGAIN.

Next time, I'll have some jazz excerpts up hopefully... hehe..duke ellington, count basie... swing era?! hehe.. it's really gooooood. my friends and i are listening to the various sax solos and looooovin' the studying for this course! the musicians are just... that good! i've never attempted to play some of the classic piano pieces before... like maple leaf rag... haha.. i should try sometime.

choir starts this week! tomorrow actually! that should be tons of fun as well. just waiting for this test tomorrow to be done and over with so i can get on with my life. :)

prayer meeting this morning was awesome... just waking up and chatting with some of the committee members. the committee is AWESOME. more and more i see how God chose our personalities that match so perfectly, and balance each other. and i don'tt hink i could ever tire of talking to them... not just about ccf.. but everything in general. cuz everyone likes to THINk. and be challenged.

THINKERS are cool. INQUIRERS are cool.

yeah yeah... i'm totally brainwashed from health sci. >.<

Chewin' on the following verse - check it out:
Hosea 6:1-3.

YAYAYAYAYYA JAZZ! good for you! WOOT! next thing you know, you'll be tickling those ivories with jazz chordings for worship! OOOH, the day i see the world change for soul and jazz - mmmmmmmm.

lyds. glad to know you're still positive. i can totally relate. make the most of it, ja? i love school right now more than ever, and i know the 'high' will leave one day, but i'm pressing hard every day to not let that happen and remain faithful that God's providing.

Take care girl!
