this last term has been and will be filled with lots of independent pursuits that are separate from ccf, health sci...etc.
a wonderful talk with WINNIE (haha... i know you will read this as you click on others' blogs) this weekend reassured me that my feelings of being lost and floating along are completely normal, and as much as i plan to not run all over the place, i find that i am already starting the hectic schedule. it is inevitable. >.< i even TRIED to not be so busy...
it's not so much about class time, as it is about fulfilling as many errands as you can within the larger chunks of 'free time' you think you have... and then realizing after completing those errands, that you really don't have as much time to crack down on the readings and paper-writing and preparing apps and the rest of your life that you originally thought.
i've spent the last months just going through the motions of preparing for the 'what's next' in life - and this term, i thought i'd be able to enjoy it the many 'lasts' of undergrad, but i am forced to keep on thinking about 'what's next' - next stage of apps & summer plans. sometimes, i want to just stop and say, "can i enjoy the NOW please?"
but then i feel the pressure of 'keep on going', 'keep on grabbing the opportunities that are before you now before you leave'...
so if we were to have a little conversation within the next three months, you will most likely hear me spit out any of the following terms consistently:
- clinical placement
- abstract
- poster submission
- thesis
- apps
- sociology of healthcare
- building and being built
- being mentored
- bible study
- westside 101
- random evangelism
- SG with my girls
- virtual y
- westside
- lots of 'coffee' times
- QT
- 12 dumplings for 2 bucks!!!
- cline events
- 516
- tennis
- hccf
- tuesday night singalongs w/ musical mind fanatics
- charity ball
- busing constantly
- travelling
- facebook addiction
- constant, sporatic, unstable schedule
- reading good books
- learning about HIV/AIDS on the side
... but aside from all that, i hope that you will hear about how God has been faithful and true to His Word and promises through and through in all areas of my life!!
hoping to include in my conversations:
- gym!!!
- campus visits!!!
- badminton!!
one thing that i am suprisingly NOT going to talk about:
- GROUP PROJECTS...
it's going to be a good term though. i can feeel it! i know it!
