umm..
i don't have much to reflect about this weekend other than...
1. studying with other ppl makes a world of a difference. it's nice to study in different environments, with different people, on your own, not on your own. while i hardly played, and stayed cooped up at oak ridge, i'm still glad i went.
2. jokes sleeping on the floor, not being able to sleep with my entire family. i like our moments now and then. hehe... my parents are so cute, my sister is so cute, we make fun of each other so much - and it all makes for good times. haha...
3. early sunday morning, taking pictures, chit chattin with my father above, and observing the elderly on their morning stroll...
4. the gathering at the beach sunday morning after breakfast. everyone was out there. aunties, uncles, teens, children... just passin' the time. happy happy. honestly, the mood with the sun, the beach, the laughter... the lazy lazy atmosphere... something we all need every so often. though we didn't have any huge activites where everyone was together - except eating - that moment in time when everyone was just AROUND was so.... pleasant.
4. hearing voices raised up to praise our Lord - echoing off the walls of the lounge - beautiful acoustics - everything just bounced off the walls.. okay.. maybe not beautiful acoustics.. but it felt like we were at an old chapel or something. it was angelic almost. and how wonderful indeed in that we were singing hymns!
5. sometimes, there are METAL poles between double doors. look out for them. cuz it hurts when you smash into them.
i liked how we didn' t have anything majorly planned - or it just didn't work out the way it was supposed to. everyone just kinda lounged and loafed. the time we spent loafing around was a great break away from the busyness of life in TO. if my family were to go spend a weekend at a cottage - what would we be doing? we'd be loafing around. we'd be resting, just as the Lord commands us to do. When our cell groups go out for a weekend, what do we do? we just rest. and we have fun spending time with one another. laughing with each other. just living with each other.
and what does our mcbc family do when we spend a weekend away? we relax. hehe...
so after a good amount of shpealing, this weekend was...
... a beautiful weekend.
