what bhsc has taught me...

... to voice my opinions and thoughts no matter how controversial

... to say what i think and through feedback from others in dialogue, my thoughts can be corrected or refined so that I can have an even greater understanding on the issue

... to be annoyed when people don't respond but then realizing that I WAS ONE OF THEM too - afraid to talk in case i say the wrong thing...

... but man, bhsc is all about challenging each others' thoughts and saying it without the intention of offending each other - and frankly, if you begin to take others' opinions personally - then you will be screwed - so it's better to take all comments objectively and realize it's OKAY to change your thoughts when another person raises good points

i miss engaging in fruitful and controversial conversations. i wonder if i am portrayed as someone too opinionated sometimes? have i become one of those older health scis that others are afraid to respond in great lengths to? are my housemates the only ones who bother to engage in such conversations with me now???

i LOVE making people think and i LOVE it when others squirm, and i LOVE it when I squirm too - because i know that my brain is working really hard... and at the end of the conversation, it's not about 'who's right' - it's about where all of us have grown in understanding on different opinions.

i'm so glad i went to FAN last night to have such in-depth discussions with some health scis i don't usually talk to about the most random things possible and argue our way through it.. haha... SO GOOD.
