"When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained; What is man that You take thought of him, and the son of man that You care for him? Yet You have made him a little lower than God, and You crown him with glory and majesty!"
Jeremiah 2:11
"Has a nation changed gods when they were not gods? But My people have changed their glory for that which does not profit"
- we've exchanged our glory that God has given us for our own idols, which are worthless, and do not last eternity. God has much more He wants to give to us!
- we have fallen short of the glory of God
2 Corinthians 3:16-18
"But whenever a person turn to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as i a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit."
