praise: we have a new member in God's family! My Aunt May in Vancouver accepted Christ over Easter weekend!!!!!!
BEST news ever! please share in our ecstatic-ness over the news: my aunt has struggled with many long-standing health issues, and had always been hard-headed and hearted against Christ. Often it boiled down to, "if your God cares for me, why is He making me suffer like this?" our family has been praying for her and others in Vancouver for over 10 years. Some of you have even prayed with us because it's ALWAYS a prayer request especially every time something happened with my relatives, or before every trip to vancouver. Thank you for praying with us!!!
My aunt has no explanation for why she chose to accept. She has read tons of books of different religions. Has been to multiple evangelistic meetings but always stubbornly against it all. This time, she describes, when the call for acceptance came, the pastor didn't ask for the typical gestures of standing up or raising your hand, he only asked them to turn their face up and look towards the cross! And look she did! :D my aunt even went immediately on the wknd to go buy herself a english-chinese Bible!
why now? and why not earlier? it doesn't really matter does it? just that it has happened! God truly is the one to convict isn't He? remember what pastor adam shared this week, "once you believe, you will see"? I'm so thankful and excited, because now she believes. and now she will start to see... all the promises of God that we claim, are hers now too!
so prayer: pray for her first steps in discovering and knowing Christ personally! pray for Christian brothers and sisters to surround, disciple and support her. a sister reminded me last night that the prayer item isn't OFF the list, it has merely changed, and now we can begin praying for growth. :)
