health scis...

i love my health scis...

haha.. well, they're not really 'mine' persay..

i am so thankful that i have these guys to keep me sane.. haha.. it's so easy for me to come back to TO and just hang out with all my brothers and sisters from pneuma and mcbc... and cut off completely from my friends from hamilton and specifically, the academic setting...

honestly... it's really too easy... especially cuz i live so close to the church..

but I thank the Lord that a lot of my friends are up in markham/richmond hill as well... so it took one gal to come in from waterloo to get us all together within a day... but to see everyone again, and exchange a good share of snide remarks like good ol' times... is such a treat. :)

it brings me back down to reality, and makes me wanna go back to hamilton again, just to chill with them and study hardcore and complain and be nerdy and excited about learning together. haha..

another praise item from tonight, was just the fact that we're all in this whole mcat business thing together. it's tough.. and we're already making jokes about failing.. haha. minus our one guy who's genius... nonetheless... it's relieving to have them with me, to discuss with each other about our academic struggles. throughout our second year together, one filled with extremely heavy workloads, we were able to give each other mutual support, and even more amazing, hold regular study sessions once exams came around. honestly, had it not been for them, i don't know how my marks would've been this year.. it was a mutual feeling for everyone. the group held us up... it's so much easier preparing for exams with 5-6 minds together, than it is by yourself. and through it, they've come to learn my weaknesses, my strengths, my style of learning, my style of memorizing, and i learned the same about them. and we've been able to encourage each other at a much deeper level. our random pep talks really held me up and helped to motivate me in my studies.

And so, even tonight, our common probs with studying... or lack thereof... and just how all of us are still experiencing lots of new things, telling others of opportunities to check out.. etc. etc... i dunno.. i love health sci.. cuz it is within this program of the self-directed learning process, and the huge emphases on group work... that i've found this group of friends - mutual cheerleaders in our 'pursuit of academic excellence'... haha...

and i realize how blessed i am to have such strong support in many aspects of my life..spiritually from my bros and sisters, emotionally from all my close friends!!, academically from my health scis... and they all overlap too..

really.. it's all provided by God. no doubt about that. :) He truly does know exactly what I need, and WILL provide exactly what I need... and will only give me things that He knows I can handle. And so in my doubts, or my hesitations, i just need to continually remember that I CAN... through HIM... and only through HIM!
