CARE

that word was so prominent in my mind by the end of last night.

GOD CARES.
- about us, no matter how insignificant we are. we who live on that small speck of dust 'suspended in a beam of light' (how beautiful that phrase!)

and in turn, WE CARE.
- about the dead walking around us every day, bursting to tell them of this great, powerful, awesome, almighty, loving, BEING

I CARE.
- about the spiritual well-being of those God has placed around me, Christians and non-Christians alike.
- about this campus - about the people on this campus walking around empty in their hearts - how I long to see every knee bow down before HIM.

I am encouraged. Things ARE possible b/c this is one powerful God who speaks, and 'light bursts forth... the sun bursts forth'... HOW BIG HE IS, that we cannot FATHOM His thoughts, His ways.

The image of thousands of young university students walking down through the aisles, without second thought, to give towards hosting another free concert in another major city, to see Christian students united and praying for their city, their nation, this world - that will stick by me. Every one takes something different away. For myself, that image is etched in my heart forever.

The buckets overflowing with Cdn bills was a manifestation of the united, unspoken phrase - WE CARE. Every person who walked out and gave, THEY CARED. and collectively, whatever has been raised, is a response to show that we care... we care what happens to those we don't know. We probably will never meet them, but we care. We want them to have what we had last night. That just isn't an extension to fellow Christians though... to non-Christians - we care about them - we want them to know this loving Father that we know.

Couldn't help but wonder - what if I had brought some of my close friends who are non-Christian, who are so close? It gets harder and HARDER and even more awkward to bring people to events about God. It's so much less awkward to bring a high school friend isn't it? Even university, it is sorta okay. But if you asked me to invite someone from work... touchy touchy... it gets harder.

Anyhow, I can't wait for this Friday night when CCF gathers together again, and to hear the reflections on Passions. Each story I have heard so far shows how the Lord moves in individual lives, and uses one event to bring about a different message that is custom-made according to where we are in our walks with Him. In the expanse of Ricoh Coliseum, where so many people gathered and praised His name together, there was STILL a supreme sense of INTIMACY that is only possible from a God who cares and calls us each by name.

AMEN!!!

The series of events leading up to Passions were not a coincidence. And the events to come after Passions were set forth long ago - I can't wait to see it all unfold!

There are so many more things I want to add, but they will have to come at a later time. :) For now... *smiles in content*
